On Friday, 24th January, SLAP拍 invites M3STR from Portugal, and Hong Kong’s SEIRYŪ and Yadin Moha. Raw and unfiltered.
M3STR
M3STR is Miguel Mestre’s moniker, an emerging Live Act, Producer and DJ from Porto that has brought exciting and playful high energy soundwaves to the floors.
From his recent “Watcher EP”, his releases on Duplicity, Elberec, being selected on Truncate’s remix contest, to steering the ship at the Analytical Convenience label, M3STR has been on a relentless pursuit of pushing musical boundaries.
His music has gathered support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Rodhad, Truncate, Lea Occhi and others, being played out in iconic venues such as Berghain, and several others across the globe.
SEIRYŪ
Born and raised in London, music has served as a consistent undercurrent in SEIRYŪ’s life.
Despite his early exposure to UK-centric rave sounds, SEIRYŪ initially found a focus in primarily playing psychedelic trance. However, an introduction to the more refined elements of hypnotic techno signalled the start of a fresh musical phase.
A torrent of new influences then led SEIRYŪ on a meandering path of increasingly more expansive, esoteric, and ethereal techno and trance, which has since morphed into a penchant for faster but more sonically stripped-back sounds. SEIRYŪ retains a distinctive narrative form of mixing, and he places an emphasis on the journey when delivering his sets onto the dancefloor.
SEIRYŪ is a resident of the long established local techno collective, Cipher, and he now considers Hong Kong his adopted home.
Yadin Moha
Yadin’s radio sets explore experimental electronics and psychedelia while his club and festival sets wade in and out of wave, post-punk, electro and techno. He is a member of Strange Weather, a music and art collective based in Singapore and Hong Kong that strives to connect the dots between contemporary electronic music, deconstructed traditional motifs, subversive symbolism and sweaty dance floor hysteria. Alongside his peers, Yadin Moha is steadily pushing these fringe sounds and ideas in living rooms and dance floors across Asia.
Yadin has played at the likes of Mitsuki (JP), Nyapi (KR), Mihn (HK), Grey Area (TW), Headquarters (SG), fono (KL), Koh (IN) and Saferoom (BKK) amongst others.
